Keep in mind the commerical nature of the business. They set up a massive manufacturing facility, with staff, dealers etc. All ongoing costs. The only way to support that is to keep new business coming in. We all know that once you've set up your rig, not much wears out. $30 replacement harness webbing is hardly going to guarantee the viability of the company.

They know the rec market is very large, so they are diversifying into other areas of the market place. I think all Tech brands have (dive rite) done this, or they have been rec brands that have moved into the tec arena.

Would you call 'Toys' anything made by Fisher and Paykel ? If so, I've bought lots of toys recently.

actually the new big H'ch could be HOLLIS

The New H regs are:

Halcyon H-75P = Scubapro Mk25
Halcyon H-50D = Scubapro MK17
Halcyon Halo = Scubapro G250V
Halcyon Aura = Scubapro R380 (an old SP reg which has since been superseded by the R395)

The Scubapro rep was telling me about them a while ago, but was keen to see what they look like, Prices are pretty good (supprisenly)
Acctually cheaper then SP but SP are bringing theres down to match i believe

I dont mind the look of the halcyon first stages but reakon the SP second stages look better

Internally the mk17 and the apexDS4 are very similar but i do beleive (dont quote me on this though) that the Mk17's maximum flow rate is still a bit higher, but neither come close to the flow rate of the mk25

if set up proporly they offer what I would consider far superior hose routing due to there fifth port on the bottom and the swivel turrent

ok fair enough...and in true fairness to RB....they were new and I gues he hadn't fully worked them out for that weekend, funny though....I think that was the weekend he realised that the big H harness was nt fr fat blokes like him and JD.....skinny guys like me prefer the transplate harness
