Had some delamination of the red panels on the TLS 350, so carried out the following repairs.
Stitching had worn away from abrasion against rock etc, panels are stitched through all layers of material in initial construction then sealed along the inside seam.
As the stitching get worn from the outside the red panel seperates from the underlying material.
Cannot be resewn as this would mean resealing all the inside seams.
Have glued them using Selleys urethane bond, supposed to be waterproof but we shall see.

JD had stiching come apart on his on the leg, I noticed this when I borrowed it...I think they are a really crap suit, not a patch on durability compared to my diverite....... although I hear if you are a male and get a female DUI they can work well...just ask Taylor!!!!

Speaking of Diverite drysuits,....I have a virtually brand new one right here that I wanna sell. It's a blue/black 905 - nothing wrong with it,  brand new seals, suit is guaranteed to have no leaks, problem is it's a diverite and would be better off being used as kindling, or perhaps cut up into little peices and used as patches on a real drysuit. $700 ono. like new. but yeah - diverite....sorry. How is Tony Davis nowadays?, great product Tony! WOO!! go Diverite.

My suit had the stitching come undone like PH said, and they fixed it under the 7 year warranty. Should have sent it back Rick!

I am having kneepads fitted, new socks and a hole fixed at the moment, I will show you once it gets back.

yellow...the fact is the diverite suit is far better han the dui dir version.....BTW what size is your 905

Bought the suit second hand from George so I think it had seen a pretty hard life out west. Don't think warrantys would cover that scenario.

Mine did. In fact they commented on how trashed the suit was, but on how good the zip and seals were.

Yeah, but my understanding is the 7 year warranty applies anyway, as long as it is a manufacturing fault (which stitching is)

hmmm size..not exactly sure - I can send you some measurements if your interested. It would suit someone about 170 - 180cm tall , medium to slim build - is that any help?

Look on the sleeve first, there is a D it is standard size (not husky). The samll/med/large is on the inner back.

yellow - aside from the suit just being a Dive Rite what was it you didn't like about it and what makes a DUI or other suit better than that one?
Only asking as I'll be up for a new dry suit before next winter and both the DUI and 905 were near top of the list.

I like my DUI suit. Every dive i do i am waiting for it to break but it aint yet.

Rob, thats only because a diverite husky wouldn't fit you........and lets be honest when you were as gooey in a former life a 905 just wouldn't cut it hey???

the 905 is a brilliant suit!!!!  the TLS is like diving in water resitant (notice I didn't say proof) crape paper....don't bother with one

I had the DUi long before the GUE came to these shores. While diving in crape paper and you dont get wet. well that says it all doesnt it.

The TLS is crap though, and as for getting wet...are we talking about diving????
