Speaking of Diverite drysuits,....I have a virtually brand new one right here that I wanna sell. It's a blue/black 905 - nothing wrong with it,  brand new seals, suit is guaranteed to have no leaks, problem is it's a diverite and would be better off being used as kindling, or perhaps cut up into little peices and used as patches on a real drysuit. $700 ono. like new. but yeah - diverite....sorry. How is Tony Davis nowadays?, great product Tony! WOO!! go Diverite.

yellow...the fact is the diverite suit is far better han the dui dir version.....BTW what size is your 905

hmmm size..not exactly sure - I can send you some measurements if your interested. It would suit someone about 170 - 180cm tall , medium to slim build - is that any help?

7  Welcome to rantFUJAK / Rant / customs/import duty/GST/NAZI's/Fascism on: March 26, 2010, 04:11:59 PM
customs/import duty/GST/NAZI's/Fascism.

What do they all have in common?.....Well if you've ever imported anything from overseas, chances are you've had to deal with at least one of these 'issues'.

How is it that somepeople manage to get certain items , ie. dive gear over $1000.00, through customs unnoticed by the GST and import duty weilding fascists, while poor suckers like me gets double fisted in the arse every fucking time! It's fricken Bullshit!

As a group we ordered 6 DUI signature series suits and thermals. Total cost ...ummm somewhere around 1billion dollars US  - (actual price subject to reality) Anyhow, 2 suits got through ok - the rest of us however, not so lucky. Sad

Does anyone else have any customs related horror stories? - hearing of other peoples misfortunes cheers me up - that's why I like the CDAA so much.

9  Welcome to rantFUJAK / Equipment, Tips, Tricks & useful information / Re: deco bottle spg's on: March 20, 2010, 02:57:00 PM
I thought spg's were there so you had something to look at over and over again when your narked off your tits at 58ms on air at kilbys - maybe thats why lots of old guys do deep air dives on independents - so they have twice as many gauges to look at and have know idea what they mean. What's this? ......35bar?  KA POW!

Anyhow back on topic.

What if, for example I had heaps of money, was Severly over weight and had been told by a prominent overseas rb instructor that they should either give up diving or change their lifestyle and lose some weight. Oh and what if I'd been bent before? And had clearly not improved in skill level and still looked like they were diving the unit for the first time?

Geez I'm a bitch!

I've used plenty of both Cat's and luxfers, own plenty of Catalinas and wish to god I could go back in time and buy luxfers instead!

In saying that however, it really depends on what pressures your using that makes the Cat's stand out as a peice of shit.
Ie. @ 150bar a 10lt Cat sits just fine. This is ok for use as say a 50% deco, but it's when you start using them for half plus 15 stuff, where your start pressure of 215bar makes it hang heavy, affecting your trim, which in turn makes you look silly in photos, which I'm sure you would all agree is simply unacceptable.
The little 5lt Cat's are however another story, those little fuckers just flat refuse to sit nice - unless of course there's like only 20 bar left in them.

PS. has anyone got any cheap Luxfer tanks for sale? Cheesy
PPS. what do you lot know about rebreather use in tank?
