Lake Eyre was great, a huge expanse, much bigger than I thought. But shallow. While the lowest point in Australia is in ABC Bay at -15m, the max depth is 2m and most is less than  0.5m. We stood at the edge of Lake Eyre South and the birds 100m out were only in 1cm of water. And so salty; the shore had plenty of dead fish from the salt. From the air, the water viz looked like mud. While there was a yacht regatta in progress I don't think it will become a dive site soon...

Um , deco isnt an exact science, and i guess if most of your dives are large and requiring deco and you are pushing it it is bound to happen eventually. Being bent could also mean he had a sore shoulder too.

well I have it on very good authority  That allegedly the "swedish chef" (muppets) Richard Lundgren,  GUE training director got badley bent on the recent GUE expidition on the Atlanta in the Solomons, that on top of the the GUE (suck on wrong gas at depth, death) in florida,,,,,I ask WTF is the go I thought this GUE stuff was doing it right........it seems that no matter how arrogant any training agency thinks they are and how perfect they wish their training percieved around the world.....it all really means shit...
