Hi Guys,
I see not much has been happening on the Fujak front while we have been away, so a quick trip summary

Flew out on Friday direct to Dempasar and after a few hour layover flew to Mataram, Lombok for the 40 minute drive to the dock to catch the speedboat to Gili Trawangan. We arrived at the airport Friday at about 7.45am, and arrived back 2 weeks later to the hour.

Course was with Simon, Rob and I were doing Advanced Trimix on our Inspos, and Craig was doing the same on OC. Grant Pearce came olong for some fun dives. We also had a swiss banker from Zurich diving with us on his Evolution +. We started off with a shallow skills dive, just to get ourselves in tune for the deeper stuff, but it was quite a nice dive at 'Deep Turbo' (30-35m) with no current whatsoever, eh Craig? Next was a dive to 70m, followed by 80m, then 85, 90, 95 then 100m. The new course is 6 dives, rather than the 4 I did on my OC course. Apart from a couple of small malfunctions, such as my Inspo handset going blank and Grants rEvo flooding all on the same dive, all was good.

Rob and Grant headed home on Sunday after a 10 day stay, while Craig and I stayed on for a couple of extra days, with myself, Will (the head Tech instructor on Simons team) and George the Swiss banker doing a 115m dive post course.

I certainly enjoyed the diving and the course, and picked up lots of extra info and skills. Even Grant who had done the course in Oz sat in on the theory sessions and picked up some things he didn't know, and Simon busted a few myths about things along the way.

I am sure Craig will be posting some pictures soon.

Yeah - no current at all! Pigs arse!

Course was excellent, learnt lots of new stuff & even bought a new dive computer whilst I was there. Max for me was 105m which is still a bloody long way down. I was very impressed with my camera focus light which I bought along to use as a torch. All in all very worthwhile.

Didn't take many photos but I'll put some up when I get a chance to.

For anyone interested my gas bill was USD1727 in total! Much cheaper than the capital cost of a rebreather which, based on my observations on one dive, are prone to breaking.

2 grand for gas? Mine was about $150! 5 of those trips and you have yourself a 'breather Craig! More importantly, it was 17,131,753 rupiah. Over 17 million for gas!

I am very jealous of the Liquivision though, very nice purchase there indeed.

Of course you went straight from extended range to CCR Adv Trimix didn't you...

...and I don't recall me having to do a solo bail from 85m...

I believe you did bail out OC on EVERY dive!

Bernald may have had a small malfunction, but is all better now. Sad thing is, the download only showed the last 2 dives. I would have liked to send the file to Martin Parker to find out when it all went pear shaped.....

When you are ready, Kilsbys, bottom time 30 mins, deco gas staged on the line. Lets get some dives booked! You will be amazed at the stuff you see now that you missed before. Now Ian is certified to 75m, he can join us too.
