What batteries are you charging?
For torch batteries, you are better off with a 12v charger. The unit I bought (and I think Rob has a couple) is 12v and does lead acid, nickel metal, lithium ion and a couple of others too. We run them on a 240-12v pack when off the wall. For about $100, they are by far the best charger on the market. Throw your Halcyon one in the bin (or sell it to someone who forgot to switch it to 240!) and replace it with a Swallow charger. Available at all good hobby shops, and the power pack is from Jaycar.
Scooter batteries? Not sure with yours, what are they and how many cells? Rob?
