Harvs, i apologize for my spelling, damn spell checker didnt pick up on it......... A dumb C@#t im not, and if i was ever stupid enough to get stuck up shit creek and i need help (which i very much doubt, clearly you DONT know me), i wouldnt be asking you!!!! As you have demonstrated, when the going gets tough, harvs sells his gear and changes sports!!!!!

Im glad you were able to scab a tripod off of someone else, i on the other hand, have the skills to build one.. I doubt whether they would lend it to you again, given most people get sick of you pretty quick!!

As for tripod, im not surprise they called you that... an object used manly for support, but you even failed at that, supporting the women in your life.......where are they now?Huh I know im not sleeping alone tonight.. are you??

And whats even funnier, ive been asked if i would like to fix the 'NEW' roof at tank...... apparently  the last person made a dogs breakfast of the "NEW' one....... i said RN and i would take great pleasure in doing so!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck and good speed tripod in finding someone to support!!!! Clown!!!!

KARL...boy I have missed playing with you....

[/list]as for going gets tough, not sure what you mean  I actually hadn't dived for a year prior to even the invesitigation issue...so that has nothing to do with why I have on sold some depreciating assets for now.....do I need to explain further you dumb C**t

actually I hired the tripod of Paul for the wekend and was happt to do so, the only dive gear I have ever scabbed would be Hugh mores battery pack at tank once and JD's drysuit, the difference between those two items is the battery pack wasn't miles too big for me  Grin, but both were offered to me.

you make me sound like such a slut when you refer to the 'women in my life'.....and I'm sure you won't be sleeping alone tonight...but with your sister doesn't count!!!

ah yes the old tank roof!!!!....oh well I will need to explain this again...the old roof was extended to say twice its length but the beam taking the weight of the roof was not increased in size, now whiulst the weight of the roof as such is not great (a tin roof including structure is rated at about 10kg/m2)however it is my view that the increased m2 of roof area has meant that the wind which great a downwood force on the roof can be a greater force than the roof weight it self, this is what I believe has increased the sag in the roof where the beam is located.

Now the replacement of the roof was a last minute thing. I was called on the friday before that Tank weekend to say that someone had donated a length of laserlite and could I fit it that weekend, I said sure thiong and got one of my boys to drop off a cordless drill and tin snips to me before the end of the day, job was done sat after noon but I could only create the sheet lap that is there now, The other problem is that a corregated roof must have a minimum of a 5 degree pitch, it think where the sag is it is about -1 degree now..... so wind will potentially blow water up the join on such a flat roof then when capilary action starts water flows up hill  and continues to run......so Karl there is your explanation not an excuse but fact , however the whole thing was a bit rushed which I dont like to do

Karl no need to get personal this is all in the name of good sporting fun...also known as sledging.....Rick give him a hug for me mate will you,, and a dictionary

    cheers

from the timber framing code over here (how ever I haven't checked out the updated version) that is what we aloow by memory, pretty sure they take battens and insulation into account.

I might check it out though
