Thanks Rick for the congratulations. I'll try and get some time to write up a more detailed description of what the course entailed.

Though I do have to agree with Paul, the dive on the Alert, 74m, 21 mins BT, seals on deco, 85 mins of deco, really was so over rated.

Expensive course, yes, value for money, YES.

I'd prefer to pay for a course that I'm going to use and can massively benefit from, than do a course and not dive. So Harvs, been wracking up those deep trimix dives lately ? or waiting til you go back to the tropics in a 3mm wettie, so you can go to 80 m with no idea of how much gas your going to use on the dive and are calling it early. Talk to me when your consumption is below 25L/min. Till then, chill out.... with Xanax !

hehehehe

obviously a raw nerve Ian

I don't believe I said a dive on the Alert was over rated, just GUE training for the $ value

not sure what JD has been telling you perhaps he should enlighten us all, for the record I don't like diving DEEP with twin 80's at 200 bar sorry that is not for me!

Ian if you honestly believe the xanax rumour just come out and say so...since it was started by the GUE frat.  then I guess you have to believe what they tell you, don't you

Yep - well done Ian. Irrespective of the GUE factor I'm certain it would have been a challenging course.

Yep, congratualtions guys. I am sure it would have been a difficult course. Must be nice to know that a 100m rating is now only $4K away!

Sorry tiger. Looking forward to hearing all about it next weekend. BTW I emailed Hursty about that dive. Will see what happens.

I am sure there are divers who have been bent following computers too. Nothing is foolproof when it comes to deco theory Harvs.

I had an interesting read about the diver who dies on the RB80 though. Quite a thorough investigation. Sad. No matter the training or equipment, shit happens.

Thanks Rob,

Thanks for lending your Analyser for the course. Greatly appreciated indeed. A suitable liquid of appreciation will be sent home with Jarrod next weekend with the analyser.
Great dive to finish the course on Friday. See attached.

OK, try here:

Righto. Just to correct something, it seems the diver was using a fridge, not an RB80. Some reports say one thing, others another, but there is a post I found from a guy saying he is still diving the unit, and it is a Halcyon Fridge. Sorry for the confusion. (unless it is a conspiracy from Halcyon to protect the integrity of the RB80. Mmmm......)

OK

he was diving a fridge not a RB80. Just where are the counter lungs on a fridge? Somewhere near the freezer?
