I have been appointed mix and breather guide for Barnoolut. 2 weeks ago whilst diving Tank i was receiving some grilling re rebreathers / policy and their use in CDAA sites from a couple of breather divers. They were wondering why the guide needs to breather trained etc. I tried to explain to them that it was a Aust Standard requirement. They kept coming with all sorts of possibility but none meets the reg. This was when Grant came in and let them know re the Aust standard and told them he did not allow mix or breather diving on Barnoolut unless the guides were trained. Then said if you want to use these you need to talk to the available guides Steve and Rob.

So im looking at a mix and breather weekend soon NOT JUNE.

Which must mean July, seeing as we have June booked, August booked, leaving July. Not the weekend of the 25th please! Actually, no need to worry. Ian is already booked in that weekend for a regular air no RB weekend.

Assuming you have both switched to RB80's, then LETS DO IT ! Gotta love being able to book onto 65m wreck dives regularly in Melbourne ! I think it would be better you (RB1) and RB2 came over to Melbourne, did some wreck diving in the morning, AFL in the arvo/evening.

As I understand the Australian Standard, the Dive Guide needs to be knowledgeable and trained in the diving systems that the divers under their care are using.

One of the divers with you on June 6 will be using a pee-valve....a female....

Sorry about my ignorance, but how does a female connect a pee-valve? I don't need pictures or a live demonstration, but a bit more information would help.
