I'm more concerned about CDAAGF's avatar at the moment.

Was that photoshopped, or was that the real deal?  Sad

If caught, does vandal laws apply, and can prosecution take place?

I don't care who you are, or what you think of the way the CDAA is run - Vandalism and Graphiti in caves should have zero tolerance.

That was my point Ad. I'm sure I have seen this in a cave, can't remember which one. One Tree or Ela?

Having said that one persons vandalism is anothers widening of the entrance to new passage. Look what goes on in Tank.

What I consider to be major vandalism was the saw cutting of the rock restricting the entrance to the CCR. This was bought to the attention of the CDAA but have not heard of any action taken.

Keep in mind that at the time of the saw cut the CCR entrance could comfotably be negotiated in twin twelve backmounts. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Cheers

So this is something that's been around for quite some time, not a newly vandalized piece of rock?

I agree there are gray areas when it comes to modifying a cave for access reasons, but etching text / graphiti into walls / roof or floor of a cave has no excuses at all. I was really dissapointed to see that photo.
