JJ CCR looks quite good indeed. Dave Thompson helped design the Inspo originally, and invented the DT Box which is what I have copied for mine....

Had a look at the Satori today. Apart from the BOV which is very poorly put together, and the hoses which are available from Hoover, the canister itself was quite nicely made. It could certainly be inproved upon with a little TLC, but overall not too bad. Pretty good value for $2K. AB said JC has bought one which I found interesting.

Easy to change the hoses over. KISS hoses would suffice. I wouldnt replace the BOV with another BOV, just use a standard DSV. I dont run one and I asked people that do who actually deploys one in anger and its generally nobody.

I would run some sort of monitoring on one and use an external trimix computer. No way you would have me breathing an unknown gas! Even if you just ran an analogue gauge, its far better than nothing.

Does having a BOV on your RB make it a fully-sick-maaate RB?

Or does one have to lower it, fit neons and a mashive subwoofer?

I'd fit an oscillating regurgitator switch with multiple off board intransigence emulators.
THAT would be fully sick. Grin

Agree, although you would want to interface the two with an transducing comfogulator purely for 'Bling factor'. the icing on the cake, or the fuzzy dice on the mirror so to speak.

It shouldn't come as too much of a surprise JD, it was you who put me on to them via this very forum. Matched with the Liquidvision X-Link, I should be able to monitor the PPO2 very easily. The BOV is a bit average, but functional. All in all it is very good value for a simple device that will be a good introduction into rebreathers for me. If I have to spend a few dollars on a few improvements, at that price it is still bloody cheap.

Geez PH, we may even be dive buddies after all if you get one. Oh, but it would pay to take your own car over to the Mount  Grin
