Gents,
Clearly we have some keen trimix divers amongst us, and for the OC trimix divers, the cost incurred is considerable. For the near future, I will be diving OC trimix, as I can't justify nor spend the money on a rebreather. Even so, with a rebreather, high pressure helium and O2 is required.
RN and I have T2 coming up in March (maybe KS if he books on!), and although I want to purchase another Gavin by then, a booster would actually make more financial sense, to reduce the cost of the course by being able to fill our own tanks (not paying shop price for He).
So, I propose that we consider the purchase of a communal Gas booster. Considering we have RB, JW, RN, KS as trimix trained, ST possibly next year, possible CL as well, that is 5 or 6 people that would benefit from the use of the unit. Looking at each chipping in $1000-1500 for a portable booster (ST and I would contribute per person so it's proportional - ie: pay $2-3k). Storage in Adelaide, brought to Mt G as required.
Thoughts ?

Ian, I think the costings may be a bit high, booster could be had for 3-4k
