experienced CDAA instructors are an ageing population, so with the amount of inexperienced instructors on board it is probably a good thing

Agree with Paul.

The newest Pen instructor (JB) who was certified by Gary and Linda at the last pen course is the certifying instructor for our now qualified pen instructor AH. In my experience, it is usually the most experienced or senior instructor who signs off on new candidates. Does anyone else see a problem with this? Ian?

I think you'll probably find that WM signed AH off. That was certainly the way it presented at the final lunch.

Yes, and I do not disagree for a run of the mill cave course. This course is run BY the association, not an instructor. An instructor cannot just up and run a pen program, it is scheduled and run by them. Not only that, it was run by the national director!
Why Q&A yourself? I run a course, then send out forms to be sent back to me for processing by me! Point is?

If there is a form for other courses, all well and good, but to hold up your card so Warrick can make sure Warrick did a good job? Anyone?Huh? Huh Huh Huh

JD

Jarrod,

WMcD doesn't see the Q&A feedback forms. No instructor does. They go straight to the QA officer, Stan Bugg, and he reviews them and looks for any inconsistencies or feedback. WMcD is not involved in this process, and would only be advised of the feedback if Stan Bugg deems it appropriate.
